Designed for both technical and non-technical personnel involved in the production of thermoplastic injection-molded components, this course introduces the fundamental elements of systematic molding: part design, mold design, material, machine, and processing using Decoupled Molding II methodologies.
Participants are guided through a series of cause-and-effect studies to help them understand how adjusting key machine input parameters affects the four plastic variables—and ultimately, part quality and process repeatability.
With this understanding, participants will begin to diagnose and resolve common part defects.
Having knowledge of the different phases of a plastic injection molding process and a basic understanding of the functions of injection molding machines, molds, and plastic materials.
