The 3.5mm Piezo Button Sensor!
RJG now offers the 9210 indirect piezoelectric sensor. With a 3.5 mm diameter and a 250 N (56 lb.) load capacity it is ideal for small, tightly packed ejector pins commonly found in
electrical connectors and other complex miniature parts. This sensor will be available with single channel
or multi-channel connectors, making it easy to use in a wide range of applications. For more information, contact inside sales.
New Stroke Velocity Sensor
RJG’s new Stroke Velocity sensor still tracks injection velocity, shot volume, cushion, and plasticizing rates, all with a smaller footprint on the molding machine. The sensor comes with a 50" cable length. This will be replacing the older style LE-R-30 and LE-R-50 Stroke Velocity sensors.
Coming soon! Flush Mount Sensor Check Kit
RJG has added to its line of sensor installation and check tools. The 2.5 mm Go No-Go Gauge, Concentricity Checker and Test Block give molders a convenient way to check 2.5 mm sensor pockets for proper dimensions. Sensor accuracy is dependent on proper installation of the sensor. If a sensor doesn’t fit correctly or the bore is not concentric it can cause preload on the sensor and inaccurate readings. These tools will ensure proper installation of flush mount sensors, thus ensuring accurate readings. These will be available for purchase mid April.
RJG opens office in China!
RJG recently opened our newest office in Chengdu, China. Having a regional office located in China will increase the exposure of RJG’s products and services in the Chinese market. We felt it was essential to set up a well staffed regional office to provide direct sales and local product inventory to quickly respond to customers needs. Kevin Zou will be tasked to manage the daily operations of the new location.
Kevin has worked for RJG for two years and has had extensive experience with the eDART System™ and cavity pressure sensor technology with previous employers. Kevin has earned his certification as an RJG Certified Trainer, which qualifies him to train others in Scientific and DECOUPLED MOLDINGSM methodologies and techniques. In the near future RJG plans to host public Technology Day and Scientific Molding training events in China to promote the new office and RJG products and services. RJG’s China office will also be exhibiting at the upcoming ChinaPlas tradeshow April 18-21 in Shanghai.
RJG, along with our partners, will be giving an assortment of presentations in our booth throughout NPE. Please click here for the full presentation schedule (subject to change).
RJG Presents Training Excellence Awards
RJG, Inc., the recognized leader in the implementation of Scientific Molding strategies, awarded TE Connectivity, Nypro, and Entegris with the 2012 Training Excellence Award.
RJG created the Training Excellence Award as a way to recognize their customers for their commitment to the RJG Master MolderSM certification program. A handful of customers were picked to receive the inaugural award and RJG plans to continue with the award program as an annual event. RJG developed the Master MolderSM Certification program over ten years ago under the guidance of Norm Ward, who saw a great need in the industry for a training program and tools that would bridge the gap between classroom instruction and implementing what was learned. Over the years the certification program has evolved into the industry standard for injection molding processing training.
Systematic Molding Gap Assessments
As part of RJG’s consulting program our consultants can be hired to do a complete 2 ½ day Systematic Molding Gap Assessment aimed at helping companies evaluate their company processes as well as their manufacturing processes. The audit analyzes your internal processes in various departments such as part design, flow analysis, tooling, material handling, machine maintenance, processing, secondary operations related to producing plastic parts and more. The program is used to establish a baseline of change for companies that are looking to improve profitability, increase efficiencies, and development technical teams within their plants. Once the assessment has been completed, RJG Consultants will make recommendations for improvements in a variety of areas. They will work with your team to develop a plan for improvement and can serve as a mentor through the implementation phases for optimal results. All observations are evaluated for consistency across multiple disciplines. To make significant improvements, access to the company’s Leadership Team, including Quality personnel, Program Managers, Schedulers, Part Designers, Quoting, Production Supervisors, Maintenance Teams, Tooling Engineers, Process Technicians, Operators, etc. must be provided. Buy-in by management is necessary for success and insuring process improvements will stick. RJG makes sure each observation has been validated by at least four disciplines such as man, method, material and machines. Only those validated observations, whether they be pro's or opportunities, will be addressed during the final presentation to upper management.
Use less material, reduce scrap, and save on energy! RJG technology and training not only helps molders...
they help the environment.
